Babysitting Blues

Hey everyone. I would like to toss out a question in the hopes that maybe one of you readers have some ideas. I am looking for a babysitter once a week for my little Deakon. It would be all day Wednesday (approx. 7:45-4:45). So if any of you have any ideas of anyone good I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Sunday Birthday Dinner

Yesterday Kyle made me an awesome birthday dinner. We had pork roast with carrots, potatoes, and green beans, a caprese salad (tomato, basil, mozzarella, olive oil- and we like to add balsamic vinegar) and the best thing of all- a STAR shaped birthday cake!!! I forgot to take a picture of the cake before we pigged out on it, but I guess this pic is better because it shows how much we liked it- by we I mean me, I think I have already had like 3 pieces... yum!

Happy Birthday Angi!

So, yesterday was my birthday! Yay for me. It was a great day. Kyle got off early so we went shopping all afternoon and then my mom watched Deakon so we could go to dinner and movie. We saw "21" and both really liked it. Kyle got me a really nice video camera and some new clothes. I am now officially 23.... sweet....

Banana Peel

So I have another "bad mom" post, complete with pictures. Deakon got this out of the garbage yesterday and started eating it. I was laughing so hard all I could do was take some pics. Yummy!

Another few days...

A few things have happened in the last few days. I finally got up to the doctor to weigh Deakon for my own curiousity and was surprised to find out that he has gained 2 pounds in the last month! I knew he was getting fatter. Here are some pics from him in his favorite cupboard. (Try really hard to ignore the huge line of snot running down his nose... I promise I am a good mom... mostly.)

I had the opportunity to go to the temple last night with some of my family. It was a great night. Unfortunately Kyle was sick- throwing up- so he and I will have to go together another time.

We went to another Grizzlie's game and had lots of fun- I forgot to take any pictures so you will have to use your imaginations- I will describe it... After the 1st period Kyle for some reason moved a few seats away from me... I don't really know why- could it be yelling "You have a sexy mullet!" to the goalie through a megaphone made from a cup? or dancing and singing to the songs played to the crowd? or because he had invited the General Manager from Carmax to the game and didn't want him to know that I was his wife???? I just can't figure it out... possibly all 3- sorry Kyle, I will behave next time. Anyway, I had a good time goofing around. Kyle said it was a pretty good game (he actually watches them- can you believe that???) and we got to see some good fights. I think we are done watching games until the fall- we can't wait!

Mushroom Heaven...or not

We went to The Pie and Kyle gave Deakon this huge mushroom to eat... he took one bite and started making this gagging noise and gave it back. It was really funny. Kyle was kind of disappointed, but Deakon ate his green olives so that made up for it... GROSS!!!

I will stick with cheese only please.

Hadley

This is the little girl I started watching a few times a week. Her name is Hadley. Deakon loves having a friend around. The first day he ran up to her and gave her this big hug- it was really cute except that it kind of freaked her out and she stood in the corner for the first 10 minutes! They are getting used to each other now and it is fun.

Take the survey...Do it

One of our friends have like a weekly survey on their blog and when it ends they write a little explanation about the right answer so I think we are going to steal their idea (thanks Giles). So, take our survey and look for a new one every week or so!

Shopping!!!

Kyle, Deakon, and I went shopping at the Gateway and we found the cutest shoes and blazer/jacket for Deakon. I was so happy to find the exact Converse shoes that I wanted for Deakon. Kyle picked out the jacket (no surprise there- he is the fashion guy for our family... he just told me last night that "comfortable" is not an ok style... guess I better keep my xl hoodies and sweats for my eyes only) Anyway, it was a great trip- we were able to find some spring clothes for us too!

Baby Judson!

My brother, Danny, and his cute wife just had a new little baby boy- Judson. We went to the hospital and saw him last night. It was so much fun. They are excited, proud parents. Becky looked so good. I can't wait until all these boys (my family will have 6 nephews within 2 years) grow up and play together. Judson has the cutest blonde hair.

Kyle's Birthday/ Hockey Games

For Kyle's birthday a few weeks ago he wanted to go to a hockey game so we, and 28 of his friends, went to see the Grizzlies. It was a lot of fun! Since then we have gone to 2 more, we even took Deakon to one (it was a bit late for him though...see the pic...he had a few meltdowns, but for the most part was pretty good). Their season it now over, but we might go to a play off game on April 16th. Here are some pics from our good times.

A sad day indeed...

So today is a bit of a sad day... my baby has officially gone to only 1 nap... You might say that I am being a bit dramatic, but I do enjoy my time alone when I get it. Now I will just have to make it more quality alone time. :) I just started watching a friend's little girl this week and she only naps in the afternoon so it will all work out in the end.

Watching Tennis

We went to watch Stake play a tennis match last week. It was fun. Deakon really liked watching the action.

So Confused

Some of my siblings who have blogs have been giving me quite a hard time about not ever adding anything... so I get on here today and try to add some stuff and have no idea what I am doing!!! I don't even know where this message will show up- hopefully on the part that I am thinking. I guess I am going to have to figure this out...
