Debbie and Christian had a little baby boy Thursday May 22nd. He was exactly one month early and seems so tiny. He weighed in at 5 lb. 15 oz. (can you imagine if he would have stayed in there another month?!) and is 20.5 inches long. Congrats you guys!!! In the last picture he looks a bit like Deakon. He is home from the hospital, but has a bit of Jaundice so he has to be under the blue lights.
Welcome to our blog. We hope you enjoy the funny, gross, awkward, and happy events in our lives!!!

Non-Stop FUN!!!
We have had a crazy, fun, busy week. Doreen, Kyle's mum, flew in for a visit on Friday (16th) and was here until the following Wednesday. We had so much fun together going to the temple, out to eat, shopping in Park City, shopping at Kohl's, going out to eat, swimming, going out to eat, talking until late at night, watching movies, did I mention that we went out to eat??? We just went crazy eating and shopping and talking. It was so great! Kyle had Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off so that was nice... I got out of tons of diaper changes, hauling Deakon around, and all that mommy stuff with both Doreen and Kyle around. It was such a vacation for me. Thanks for coming Doreen!!! We really had a great time and we missed you the second you left. We can't wait to see you- just 10 weeks and we will be in Ontario together! Deakon had such a fun time with his grandma. By the second to last day he was calling her mom and hated whenever she wasn't by him. He spent so much time in her room jumping on her bed and going through her suitcase. Here are lots of pics we took, sorry some of them are blurry. I accidently switched the camera to "outside or landscape view" or whatever it is called and didn't realize it for a few days.

He was laughing his head off right then
We wore him out- he missed so many naps, but he was so good!

Married... Plus 1
Kyle and I have almost been married 3 years!!! Go us... anyway we are so happy to have Deakon, but the alone time doesn't happen very much. Yesterday we both had to work. I left before Kyle to drop Deakon off at a friend's house and so when I got to work I started texting him:
A-Good morning sleepy head
K-Morning
K-Lunch?
A- Sure
K-Where?
A-Cheap
K-Costco?
A-Ya
I have 4 hours before we can go... and as dumb as it sounds I was really excited! It had been several months since we had gone to lunch.... alone.... When the time was up I walked out to where Kyle was waiting to pick me up (we work on the same street) and were off to Costco! As we walked in I just felt so naughty because I felt like we just weren't supposed to be alone. I even got Kyle to hold my hand a little (he is definitely against PDA). Unfortunately, Costco was crowded like crazy so we headed over to "The Bell" for some Meximelts which were yummy. It was such a fun, almost forbidden, too short, middle of the day date.
This is a really cheesy post, one where I can guarantee Kyle will use his eye rolling skills, but I love Kyle and our cheesy life and cheesy stories.

Church Callings...
So, I am beginning to have a new view on church callings.... First a little background info...
Kyle and I moved into our new condo last June. So, after being here for 9 months we had just about nothing to show with new friends or knowing anything about poeple in our ward. We would go church and not talk to a single person week after week after week. Now, I can't put blame on our ward- some main people would introduce themselves and everyone kept telling us "get involved, you need to put some effort into it" but it is easier to just feel sorry for yourself. (me, not Kyle- he is like, whatever I have friends at work) So, I wasn't putting any effort in, nobody asked me about visiting teachers, I didn't ask. Nobody asked about callings, we didn't ask.
So, about 6 weeks ago I guess we were put on "the list" or something and started being asked about visiting teaching and such. I was given some, and got some ladies to start visiting. Then, 3 weeks ago we were given a calling.... we were called to the "older" nursery. Some of your might be cringing right now, but I will tell you something... It is the best thing EVER!!! There are 3 other couples in with us (we rotate weeks so we can go to regular meetings every few weeks) and I really like them- one of them is having a baby in just a few months, PLUS I am meeting all of the parents to the 15+ kids we have. The kids are so cute and funny and when I went to Relief Society yesterday, like 5 people talked to me!!! That is a huge thing!!! I am sooooo glad that we got a calling and that I am meeting lots of people. In the past, if seems like we were trying to dodge the calling business, but from now on I will look for new callings because they are good for me.
I just can't believe now long it took for us to meet people- it is silly actually. But I am so glad and am actually looking forward to Enrichment tomorrow instead of finding an excuse not to go because it is awkward. Plus, I get to go to book club with some people from my old ward... it's too bad that we moved before I got to know all of them. My parents ward is awesome! Anywho, just wanted to share some good personal news.... Sweet...

New Boy!
This week thus far has actually been a busy week. Kyle started his new position at CarMax (he has moved from Sales to the Operations side) which basically means no more 10-12 hour days!!! AND no more nights!!!! It has only been 3 days and already Deakon and I love that he is home by 6 every night. We recently got a membership at the Lehi Legacy Center (like a rec/gym) and we have been over there playing basketball and lifting weights and stuff. Kyle promised me he would even try a water aerobics class so we are going to try and do that tomorrow night. The very best thing about Kyle being home is that we can eat dinner together now... PLUS he will come home and make it. I am so lucky! The biggest thing that has happened is that tonight we took Deakon to get his 1st real haircut... It looks so good, but I think we are losing our little baby... He looks like such a big boy now. The pictures below are the BEFORE and AFTER shots.

VIDEOS!
I have been taking lots and lots of videos with my new camera so I wanted to share a few of my favorites. The first one is showing how Deakon wakes up every day. The second is Deakon playing with a potato. The third is us at a Grizzlie's game last Thursday. They finally won when we went- it was lots of fun and I didn't embarass Kyle at all! You might have to pause the music at the bottom to be able to hear the sound.

Some New Pics
The other picture just is showing how much he likes Hadley. He copies everything she does- sounds, actions, anything. He is always trying to jump on the ride-a-long toy that she is on, although we have 2! Poor girl.
Hopefully some stuff will come up in the next few days that will be interesting... I am going to try and get some videos that I have taken up on here.
