No hope...

Our computer is out of order... I am totally bummed and hope we can figure out what is wrong soon and salvage my pictures and home videos. For now, I will have to use the parentals computer. Which is a bit tricky because if we are upstairs and Deakon isn't in his high chair eating, he is making a mess and getting into all of their stuff! I will have to make an effort to use nap time as blog time because I haven't been documenting anything lately.

PS- My son is obsessed with blueberries... no thanks to Papa Steve who I distinctly remember holding a huge container of sweet, sweet Ontario blueberries out to him and letting him go at it at Nana's house...

My new favorite store...

Today Deakon and I got out to explore downtown Cochrane a bit. We made our way into The Bargain Shop... and it is basically my new favorite place!!! Yesterday, I spent the afternoon looking up craft ideas of Deakon. I hear about all of the fun things kids Deakon's age are doing and wonder why I am holding him back. Probably because I have a lack of imagination and am worried about making a huge mess. It makes me feel really guilty so as of today we are going to be more crafty! At the store, we found bubbles, 3 huge coloring books, sidewalk chalk, and an etch-a-sketch... all for 8 bucks! Score for me. That will get us started, but I am still planning on buying yarn, paint, paper plates, scissors, and construction paper. Now, I am not quite sure what I am going to do with all of these supplies, but I will think of something. If you have any great craft ideas or favorite websites please let me in on them!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!!

Today is my babe's 29th birthday! YEAH FOR KYLE! We have been celebrating all weekend. We don't think V-day is a big deal (except for it being Becca's birthday!) so we spent Saturday shopping for birthday gifts. We had fun shopping, eating lunch, and going to see "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button" (which we really liked) Deakon got to spend the whole day with gamma and papa and he didn't miss us at all. We, of course, missed him. Yesterday we had a family birthday dinner for Kyle. His mom made his favorite cake: (which I never even knew until last week!) Carrot cake, raisins-no walnuts, with cream cheese frosting to top it off. It looked abbbbsolutely delious. Today, although it is Family Day, Kyle has to work. He should be getting off early though so we can go to dinner. Happy Birthday Kyle! I love you lots and hope you are having fantastic day!!!

Deakon is going to be 2 next month! It's CRAZY! Lately, we have really been thinking that it will soon be time to lose the diapers... So... please, please, please leave any advice, websites, book titles, ANYTHING to help us get ready to do the whole potty training thing!!!
