My baby, who is not a baby

I can't believe my baby is going to be ONE tomorrow! It is so crazy... a year ago right now I was checking him out during an ultrasound and thinking how cute my chubby little guy was going to be (if he ever decided to come out!)

We all randomly happened to be eating dinner together on Sunday so I decided to whip up some banana muffins with cream cheese frosting and sing to the little man. He loved it, as you can tell if my small video EVER loads. The part you will miss is the grunting and crushing of the muffin before finishing off every lick of frosting. Maybe I should just load some pics...

I will possibly be writing more about my little man tomorrow, but I just wanted to give a shout out to my little Nixy Noodle who has been deathly ill (stomach virus) since Monday night. We love you- feel better soon so we can have a fabulous day tomorrow!!!

It's all about timing

If I could blog while I worked then people would never be able to keep up. What, you work? Besides changing diapers, making breakfast, dressing kids, bathing kids, cleaning up after kids, doing dishes, making lunches, doing laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills, driving people around, coordinating dinner, picking up toys, checking facebook several times, AND trying to keep everyone on schedule and happy. (ya, had to toot my own horn. people underestimate what has to be done day to day at home with littles)

Back to what I was saying, I have a little cleaning job at a medical building that I do every night. It used to be the public part of the building (lobby, stairs, elevator, hallways, bathrooms) AND a lab, but the lab moved in February so my hours were cut in half. It kind of stinks to have to go out every night to clean, but I do like the extra money and occasionally really enjoy the alone time. While doing all that sweeping and mopping my mind is going not stop. All I can think about are funny and witty things to blog about. I forget that this blog is mine. I can say whatever I want. My life is focused on my kids, but I am still my own person... Anyway, not really sure what this post is about but I am being interrupted by requests for a snack... always about the food at our house.

Peace out

Another reason...

I do have 1 other reason why my blogging is so behind... BABY #3 is coming! Sept. 29th! Exciting and SCARY :) I will be 14 weeks this Thursday. The nausea went away a few weeks ago, but the constant and endless exhaustion has settled in for the long haul. Had my first ultrasound last Monday- baby (just one- thank you!) looks pretty good. Has 10 little fingers for sure. Find out what we are having the beginning on May. I am very excited. Nixon and Baby will be almost exactly 18 months apart. Fun? Hmm... I hope.

1 reason...

Deakon: Why do we have to clean everyday?

Me: Because "A clean house is a happy house"

Deakon: Well, I like "A dirty house is a happy house" better for our family

THIS is one small reason why my blogging is behind...

4 years old!!!

Today is Deakon's 4th birthday! YAY! We have had a fun, crazy day. I can't believe it has been 4 years since our tiny 6 lb. little boy joined our family. I love you little man. You have so much energy and are always looking for fun. You are a great big brother and we are so glad to have you!
We started off the morning with waffles. I came upstairs with the camera and started taking pictures of Nixon. Deakon kept asking me to take pictures of him and then proceeded to purposely not look at the camera. Naughty little thing.
Little Nixy. He has really started hating the exersaucer (I know, I know, he is almost 1, constantly moving, and as big as a house) BUT since pulling out and breaking 3 glass bowls on the tile, it is his fate.

We met friends for a lunch date at McDonald's. N, Deakon, B, and T!
We played with balloons:
and got silly:
AND, the blanket fairy traded Deakon moondough for his blanket! Very exciting.
And of course, birthday song singing and yummy cupcakes:

Sunday we had dinner for the March birthdays. Uncle Bret and Deak blowing out their candles:Red Wings Jersey:
The Company! Conrad, Kari, Kyle, Nixon, Deakon, John, Bret, Aiden, Eva
Ron, Doreen, Conrad

AND the fun continues! Hope your day is as fun as ours has been!
