Hip Hip Hooray, The Super Readers Saved The Day....

That title was just for you JEANNIE!!! Tell me if you get what it is from!
I have a ton of pictures from May Long Weekend... but I am too lazy to put them up today.
I am leaping with excitement because I just booked plane tickets for Deakon and I to fly down to Utah in 4 weeks!!!! YEAH!!! I caaaaaaaaaaaan't wait! We'll miss Kyle... but I am sure he won't be sad having 2.5 weeks without a nagging wife or having to change a diaper... plus is works out with the Stanley Cup Finals. He gets to drive down all by his lonesome the first week of July and meet up with us for another 10 days.
I am so lucky to be able to go home for just shy of a month!
UTAH... HERE WE COME!!!!!

Oooo... naughty naughty

While I was pregnant with Deakon, a co-worker of mine was kind enough to share lots of stories and advice with me. One thing she would bring up time and time again was when her husband and she would take turns hiding so they could laugh their faces off at their kids without them knowing and repeating the offense. You know, when they do something so NAUGHTY and look at you so innocently you wanna bust up. Like this morning when Deakon climbed up on the bar stool, stepped onto the counter, clothed in only a diaper, a hat, and snow boots and start jumping up and down like a fanatic rockstar, yelling, "Mommy, jump!" Or yesterday when I zonked out while watching EARLY morning cartoons and my little baby threw a cup of water straight into my face insisting that I get up. Oh Deakon, you are so so so naughty... why can't I stop laughing behind closed doors?

Happy Birthday Eva!

Tonight we celebrated Eva's birthday with a delicious meal... not prepared by me :)
Happy Birthday Ebas!!! We love you!

Of course I included a picture of the yummy angel food cake with cherry frosting:

Deaky-B and the Bow River

Sunday is flyer day... kill me now... oh wait, I have another 5 days before it comes again. While I was out and about doing these awful little flyers, I cruised down one of the neighborhood walkways leading out to the Bow River Pathway. I could stare at the river all day- it is beautiful. I looked down the way a bit and noticed a little park! I immediately called Kyle and insisted that we go down to play after dinner. We have been taking advantage of the warm weather by getting out for pre-bedtime walks AND (I know this is terrible) Deakon hasn't been to a park since last year (what can I say, I HATE being cold)! Deakon had a blast and I guess we will be going again because he cried the whole way home.

"Helping" mom roll the papers- not too sure what this face is, but it cracks me up:

Love that the river is RIGHT THERE:

It is so much fun now that Deakon can climb up and go down the slide all by himself:

The shiny stuff is water...

THEE Nuptials...

I am finally getting on here to document Bret and Eva's wedding!!! Last Saturday they finally tied the knot... yay! They couldn't have picked a better day... my birthday...cough, cough... except that it snowed. Deakon had the honor of being the ring bearer. We were really nervous, and although he ended up ditching the flower girl, RUNNING down and throwing the pillow to Kyle, it worked out ok. It made people laugh so I guess we had nothing to worry about. We had so much fun hanging out with family and friends all day. Congrats again you guys!
