Random pics

I just wanted to share some random pictures of Deakon from the last few weeks. I have posted like 4 things today so keep scrolling down to see what we have been up to.

Swimming

My sisters Jeannie and Debbie (and Christian) came up on Thursday to go swimming in our pool. We weren't going to swim, but when we got down there Deakon wanted to get in so bad. Luckily Jeannie had an extra swim diaper so he got in and had a blast.

He kept wanting out and in and out and in. This is one of the out times- I love his little butt cheek falling out!

Mr Handy

In the last few weeks, Kyle has taken on quite a few projects that are not like him. He changed the air filter in our Trooper and decided to change the oil in his scooter. Here is picture of him at work. It is so sexy! I love a man doing things with his hands and getting dirty. It might be a bit obvious in this picture that Kyle doesn't change oil very much... notice the white shirt and hat. :)

Here I am after riding around on the scooter. Don't worry, I didn't have Deakon when I was moving!

Wheeler Farm

Last Friday we went to a wedding for one of Kyle's coworkers (Candace). It was at Wheeler Farm. Deakon had so much fun running around the grounds. We are definitely going to have to go back again soon. Here are some pics:

Since we were all dressed up cute, I wanted to get a nice family picture. Apparently, I was the only once with that idea!
Deakon and the bride! He loves Candace, but at this moment in time we had stopped his exploring so he wasn't too happy.

Moist Yummy-ness

Tonight we got home after a pretty long drive and Deakon was not happy. I picked him up and he definitely had a stinky butt so I changed him and because his skin was kind of red I decided to let him air out for awhile...

I went into the kitchen to call someone in our ward who I had never talked to. I was really trying to concentrate on not sounding like a moron so when Deakon tugged on my hand and gave me something I didn't even look down. As I finish up the conversation, I am squeezing this moist, spongy something that he had given me. So, I look down and see that he had given me a piece of poop!!! GROSS!!! The worst part about it is that I am still on the phone frantically looking at Kyle trying to tell him though ESP, "Don't let Deakon touch anything!!!" It didn't work... so I quickly hung up and starting yelling, "Where did he poop, what is he touching, pick him up, wash his hands"

Fortunately we got the situation under control without too much scrubbing... Oh the joys of parenthood.

Survey Answers

I am eventually going to print all of my postings and I like my survey explanations so I am posting them from now on so they will be kept.

75% got last week's survery right. We delivered newspapers for some extra money. Kyle was technically not allowed to work in the U.S. until all of his paperwork was processed. That took about 9 months so "I" got a job delivering papers and he "helped me" do them... if you know what I mean. Basically I helped him on the weekends because I was working during the week. It was the most awful, terrible, cold, long, annoying, and rewarding job ever! You might wonder why I put rewarding on the end there... although is was most miserable, Kyle and I had some of our best talks ever during the 3 hour stretch in the middle of the night. We were able to see how we worked as a team, talked about dreams and goals, and freaked ourselves our- followed by laughing our heads off about how freaked out we got by the blowing trees, or whatever had scared us. So, if you are looking to make some extra cash.... count this job IN.... as a last resort that is.

Yoga

So today I was doing a Yoga Booty Ballet DVD. It was one that had a ton of Yoga in it and I decided that 1)Yoga is so darn hard, and 2)Yoga makes me feel.... yummy. I think I might have found a new guilty pleasure. :)

Movie Lovers

Kyle and I am big time movie lovers- you know the ones... hidden in the back row... sucking each others' faces off... you feel so awkward you can't even look back at them.... JUST KIDDING- geez get your mind out of the gutter. Anywho, as I have mentioned before we have a membership thing with Netflix and I just wanted to share some of my favorites that we have seen in the last couple weeks...

AUGUST RUSH- so cute... I loved it:

JUNO- she was so funny, I wish I was like that:

and last, but certainly not least BLOODSPORT:

Ok, so I hope a few of you read that I put Bloodsport and burst out laughing because this is the most ridiculous movie... EVER- I said to Kyle, "Is this one of those dumb movies you watched when you were a teenager and thought was SO awesome?" ..... it totally is! Basically it is from 1988, and some guy from America (who like has a French accent or something) is fighting some killer fighting dude named Jet Li, of John Li, or (Kyle just said that apparently his name is:) Chong Li.... oh wow- I don't even care. If you are in the mood to follow this and see some totally crappy choreographed fighting moves and some weirdo Chinese guy biting a gold tooth- this is the one for you! Go Mr. Dux!!! ***I totally forgot to write the best part of this movie... it definitely is the middle split nut-jab that Dux uses on some guy with a HUGE head...***

Love/Hate

***CAUTION: One of the following pics might possibly make you very sick...
try not to look if you have a weak stomach!***

One thing that I really love about Kyle is his sense of humor. I think he is so darn funny. We can laugh and laugh for hours, but at the same time I hate it so I thought I would share a few funny stories.

LOVE:

He can think of come backs so quickly. For instance, a few weeks ago his friend sent him the following text:

"Hey, I forgot that my phone was in my pocket and put it through the wash so I got the new Blackberry Curve. It's awesome. You should check it out. Plus, you should feel special because you are the first one that I am texting."

and Kyle immediately replied:

"You wash your pants?"

HATE:

When we are walking around Walmart and Kyle is spouting off "Fat, very fat" and other such lines in his Borat voice... so annoying after like 10 seconds.

Monday night we were watching a movie and Kyle was laughing really hard while drinking Pepsi and he started spitting and coughing. His friend next to him is yelling, "Dude, gross, did you just throw up???... you just threw up!!!" which after about 15 seconds of coughing he promptly started doing... It was so nasty but as the lights were being turned on- I was running for my camera and had to take a picture.
So, the part about the throw up story that I hate is that I had to clean it all up (Kyle will continue throwing up if he trys) and I couldn't get the smell out. I finally got sick of it today and looked up what I should do to get it to go away. We went to the pet store and bought some cleaner for cat urine (thanks to someone on the internet) and it worked!!! YEAH!!!

Hockey Party

Congrats to the Detroit Red Wings on becoming the Stanley Cup Champions!!! I will not lie and say that I am this dedicated, die-hard, octopus throwing, jersey wearing Red Wings fan, but it is Kyle's favorite hockey team so I deal with it and attempt to understand what is happening. If you want to know the truth... I am happy that hockey season is over!!! Only because it has been taking away from couple time a bit. We did have fun last night watching the game. A few of Kyle's friends came over and we had some hamburgers, hotdogs, wings, and fresh salsa (made by Kyle the night before- YUMMY!) Here are pictures: the cardboard box on the floor had a baby parrot in it that one of the guys brought- it was cute, but it freaked me out...

Judd's Blessing

Yesterday was Judson's blessing. It was really great to see Danny and Becky as great parents. Danny said some really nice things, and Becky bore her testimony and brought me to tears. Thanks for inviting us!

Unfortunately, because of the post below (crazy girl's night) Kyle spent all day Saturday, and earlier that week (Wednesday- while I worked- oh PS: I know that I wrote a few weeks ago about needing someone to watch Deakon the one day a week, but I haven't found a good person so any ideas are appreciated!!!) with throwing up Deakon, he was sick and couldn't make it.

So, here are some pics of the happy family and of their HUGE HUGE HUGE backyard (it looks like a park huh?) in Bountiful:

Crazy Girl's Night!!!

Saturday was quite an eventful day! First of all, I need to thank my hubby for watching Deakon all day while I ran away and pretended that I was not a mom or wife for 15 hours!!! Thanks- I really appreciate you watching Deakon, even though he had some.... issues... ok, some nasty diarrhea... YOU'RE THE BEST!!! Ok, so on to Saturday. We had already planned to have Debbie's baby shower so we kept the date even though Luke was already here. It was actually really fun having the baby there. We should more showers like that. I think everyone liked seeing the baby! We had a good turn out- thanks to my sisters and mom for helping it be so fun!

We then had a few hours to spare (basically I slept on the couch and had nobody to worry about- how great was that!!!) before we started our girl's night that has become a tradition when Meri comes to visit from Chicago. We started the night by doing a Yoga Booty Ballet DVD. It basically mixes yoga, cardio, and ballet moves into 45 minutes. Here are some very nice pics of us going at it:

We had already decided that we were going to make some homemade Cafe Rio salads that Meri basically did for us. We (by we I mean mostly everyone else) put some pork on to cook in the crock pot that morning and by dinner time it was SO tender and yummy. Then we put together pico de galo, rice w/ cilantro, black beans, romaine lettuce, tortillas, and some spicy creamy cilantro dressing. The salads were so awesome- unfortunately I don't have pics, but you can imagine. After dinner we decided to use the Satin Hands product on our feet and then paint our nails. It was a good idea, but we forgot to get water to get the stuff off so we had to painfully crawl to the bathroom to wash it off. It was quite hilarious to watch everyone. We were crazy and hyper all night and as we were doing our nails Jeannie asked me, "So, does Kyle think you are crazy?" I was like, "What?!! Why?" and she explained, "You know, when you act like this." and I thought about it and said, "I try not to be like this because he thinks it is kind of annoying." I told lots of lame jokes, and said some naughty things like "Shut your pie hole" that my mom said was against her rules. It was great! So, here are some more pics. I don't know why our hands are in because we didn't do our finger nails at all, but oh well:

After our nails we played some Mormon Bridge and then finally wound down and went home and to bed. It was a great night- we missed Becky and Monica. Hopefully we will all be able to find a time to be crazy, loud, and hilarious together!!!

I touched raw meat.... ON PURPOSE!

I am working (slowly but surely) on becoming a REALLY good stay at home mom. You know the kind that wakes up early, runs 5 miles, takes a shower, puts her make up on, spends at least 30+ minutes on her hair, makes breakfast for the family, gets everyone up happily, gets everyone dressed happily, makes her husband lunch, kisses him goodbye, runs every kind of errand you could possibly do (which wouldn't be a lot because she does it everyday), kisses and hugs her kids, teaches them how to be extra smart and nice, bakes something super fantastic during the day, does 300 crunches and squats during nap time, greets her husband at the door, already has something planned and started for dinner, does dishes ASAP, throws in some laundry, puts everyone to bed, and then has like 10 minutes of her own time before falling asleep in freshly changed bed sheets....

YA RIGHT!!!!! Ha, ha , ha
Ok, so that isn't me at all. I wouldn't actually be up for all that anyway. I am just really happy that Deakon is still alive and Kyle still comes home every night before I close my eyes. But, on the serious side- I am trying to become a better cook because I want to for myself. So, hang in with me as I share my crazy wicked dinner "trys". Below is a picture of my 1st attempt at homemade meatballs. They were pretty darn good- Kyle even said so! If anyone has some dinner favorites feel free to pass them on so I can post more creations!
