Apples, Kiwis, and..... Tomatoes?

Some of you might know that my son is quite a little oinker. Some people, hmm...Danny, tell me that I need to feed him and fatten him up. I don't even have to try. This kid is like a garbage disposal... or a garborator(sp?) as I should say now that I am in Canada. :) Deakon will eat so much, and almost anything you give him. The first couple days of this week I have been feeling so sick all because of some stupid eating-out choices I made that included hidden dangers... GLUTEN! My worst enemy of all time. I guess before I started my gluten-free diet I was used to being kind of sick all the time, but now that I have been feeling awesome it is so much more intense. I hate it!!! Stupid gluten... it should be made illegal...

Ok, on to my point, which is that I have been trying to eat better, fresh fruits and veggies are naturally gluten free. Today when I got out some apples and kiwis for a snack Deakon was as excited as I was. I let him sit on the counter while I cut everything up. Before I knew it, he had reached back into a bowl that held tomatoes, took a huge bite, looked up at me with his big blue eyes and said "Nummy!" How could I resist??? I cut it up with the rest of the fruit and we enjoyed apples, kiwis, and..... tomatoes!

What a stud!! Sorry you are a gluten free girl now, but seeing Meri be so happy on it I am glad you will be ok! I like tomoatoes, but eating one like your little man is is quite impressive!

So cute! It sounds like you are being quite the healthy role model for Deakon and he for you!

Caleb loves tomatoes too, but will only eat Romas. We can mix them and he will spit it out if it's not a Roma. So funny! I'm glad that you are liking Canada. Sometimes I think it would be nice to live out in the open, but I'm too much like you. I like have shops and things to do nearby!

I see you are learning the Canadian lingo. I still have to think about certain words~even after 5 years!
Deakon looks like he's having a great time...don't forget to include some pictures with you in them!

That would be so nice to have a kid eat pretty much anything. Becasue of Talisa's allergies she is SO picky!
