I was not looking forward to my appt this morning, but as soon as I realized that I got my own screen to watch the entire ultrasound it was completely worth it! It was so fun to see Nixon's cute little nose and hands and feet and boy parts (yes, it's still a boy!) Everything looked great and when I took the report down to the office I was told that his measurements were putting him at 4000 grams. 4000 grams? What the heck does that mean... oh, after converting it, just a measly 8.5 pounds... I guess we will see how right it is! Anyway, the doc stripped my membranes... lovely... just lovely... and since then I have had contractions for a few hours now. The only problem is that they aren't consistent or really close together (average of about 10 minutes, but they keep changing). I guess we will wait and see. Dr. Martyn seemed really optimistic about this working for me because I am already at a 3 and almost fully effaced. The last thing he said was, "I hope I see you tomorrow morning with a healthy little guy!" Let's go Nix!
*PS... shaw shaw... Meri and Molly are coming with my parents!

I laughed at the 4000 grams part! It seems you have a big baby on the way!
