I must be crazy...

I just downloaded my pictures from my camera and I must be crazy. I thought I had lots of interesting pictures to post, but I really don't AND... most of them are taken in terrible lighting so they aren't much to look at. Oh well, I still have to document that we are alive. The last few weeks have gone agonizingly (is that even a word?) SLOW. Kyle was in Ontario for 4 days. He was really happy that he was able to go and see his dad one last time and see all of his uncles, aunts, counsins, Nana, and a few old friends. Thanks to everyone who helped Kyle out with beds, rides, and good company. We were very happy to have him back. We had dinner and birthday cake for Ron on the 17th. I have been looking and looking for old baby pictures of Kyle. I want to find them so bad. I found a picture of Kyle and his dad when he was just a few weeks old and it is so crazy how similiar they look. When I find other baby pictures, I will definitely post that one. I pulled out a few other pictures I had found and we had a good time laughing at pictures of Kyle and his ex-wife... ha ha ha... sorry babe, I know I have to remember that it was 1999, but seriously, you guys looked ridiculous. Needless to say, the pictures were quickly discarded in the trash- NOT by me. I kept asking if he was sure he wanted to chuck them, it was a few important years (by important, I mean the life lesson's Kyle learned) that maybe he would care about down the road. He looked at me like I was crazy, but I do get a bit sad when old pictures are thrown away. We found some old handprints taken of Kyle when he was 5 and took a picture with Deakon's hands on them. Just look below- we were shocked by how big Deakon's hands are, especially because I feel like Kyle's hands are HUGE. This weekend we are hoping to get away for a "real date" to dinner and a movie and maybe do some fall shopping. Deakon and I need new coats and long-sleeved shirts and Kyle definitely needs some new dress pants for work. Hope you all are enjoyed FALL and are super jealous that Canadian Thanksgiving is in 11 days!!! We are excited for Halloween too. It's the first year that Deakon is really into it. He has voiced many times that he wants to dress up as Spiderman, but honestly, I think he will be happy with anything that has a mask. I have wonderful plans to make and deliver yummy Halloween-themed sugar cookies and we will be carving pumpkins for the first time as a family! Yay for Halloween!!!
