Let it snow?

HONESTLY.. . have you ever seen a happier little boy???

We woke up to a winter wonderland Tuesday morning and Deakon was so excited, but it was so cold so I kept him occupied with other things. Wednesday morning when we got even more, I could deny the boy no more. We ate breakfast, bundled up, and went out to shovel the driveway. I have never seen Deakon so excited. I could barely get him to come in after an hour and had to bribe him with hot chocolate. I had such a great day yesterday. We got so much accomplished because of all of my new-found energy (which is gone today- bah). After snow and cocoa, we ran errands for a few hours, made carrot spice muffins, chatted it up with my sister, cleaned the whole kitchen and I even did my hair straight. WOW... Kyle was quite amazed when he got home. :) I have all of these fun pictures so enjoy:

Now, for some older news. A week ago I had my first real doctor's appointment (almost 16 weeks... yes, don't ask about the problems I was having- whoever said that free health care was the best didn't try to find a family doctor in Cochrane) I was really excited and after losing 9 pounds by 12 weeks, I was happy to have gained 3.5 back. So, we had this very long appointment because of a new nurse and by the middle Deakon was SO bored that I let him take pictures with my camera. Little did I remember that part of the appointment left me fairly exposed... Luckily, Deakon's fingers were in the way of about 30 of the pictures he took so no real problems. :) He did take these 2 so I thought I would put them in. Checking out mom on the table:

Listening to the baby's heartbeat. This was the day that I have really started thinking that it might just be a girl... maybe it was the fast heart rate, OR perhaps the fact that I keep seeing my newest niece in all sorts of cute, girly clothes and I wish to play dress up also.

Here is a little Halloween preview... besides yesterday with the snow, last Saturday was Deakon's best day EVER when we went to Walmart and picked out a costume. It was between a ninja turtle and spiderman... Oh, please ignore the white trash rip in our couch- no, it wasn't Deakon, it was actually Uncle Bret! You naughty big uncle. Deakon has sported his costume for several hours a day all week. You better believe that I am not spending 25 bucks on some cheap little thing just to use it the day of. Love you little spidey.

Last week, we made some yummy chocolate chip cookies. Here is my little kitchen helper:

Now for some randoms. Deakon's new little Mohawk haircut. Eva put some blue gel in for fun. Too bad I couldn't get a decent picture.

I walked into this after putting Deakon down for a nap. It cracked me up.

Hopefully it won't take me so long to update again. I was just sent some super cute pictures of Kyle when he was younger that I can't wait to post. Stay tuned for an 80's flashback!
